Kang Hong-gu (b.1956), born in Sinan, Jeollanam-do, graduated from Mokpo National University of Education, Hongik University's Department of Painting, and Dong Graduate School. He presented various solo and two-person exhibitions:《Shinan Wind-Mud, Sand, Wind》(ONE AND J. Gallery, 2022),《Cheongju-City of Seven Villages》(Woomin Art Center, 2016),《City We Used to Know》(National Museum of Contemporary Art, 2015), and 《People's House-Prosemix Busan》(Goeun Photo Gallery, 2013). Other renowned group exhibitions were presented at ONE AND J. Gallery, Seoul (2020), National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Seoul; Seoul (2019, 2018), Gwacheon (2018), Daegu Museum of Art, Seoul (2016, 2014), Gyeonggi Museum of Art; Changwon (2015), and Busan Museum (2013). Kang's works are currently housed in major museums in Korea: The National Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the Seoul Museum of Art, the Busan Museum of Art, the Gyeonggi Museum of Art, Samsung Museum of Art, Hanmi Museum of Photography, Goeun Museum of Photography, and Art Seonjae Center.
