JungKyun Shin

JungKyun Shin, 1986

He has been visualizing non-ordinary elements inherent in ordinary landscapes. Whenever he encounters social and political events, he often feels powerless. In an attempt to find his own way to deal with this, he records the process of accessing difficult-to-reach places or hidden information that ordinary people may find challenging. Even if he doesn't necessarily find solutions, he believes that it can bring about a clearer perspective. He sees our anxiety as a driving force to seek solutions. His past works were based on his own experiences or remnants of the past. However, he is now trying to explore the future - from the current standpoint.
